Amy Turnbull's collage works are made with found imagery drawn from the worlds of retro soft-pornography, long out-of-date encyclopedias, and the kitsch glamour of advertising. Working in the tradition of critical photomontage: with obvious surrealism to the images, which are cheeky, ironic, and tongue in cheek; they hint at stories that she hopes the viewer will write. The language of the billboard and the magazine are stolen.
